Salsa dance fun got people warmed up and live music from Salsa, African and Ska bands kept them on their toes. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 13.6pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;Sunday saw the return of the Respect Parade which started at &lt;st1:time hour="10" minute="0"&gt;10am&lt;/st1:time&gt; by the Sundial. The parade &lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;coordinated by Barefoot, was led by a Samba band and included children from 7 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;st1:city&gt;&lt;st1:place&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;Plymouth&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt; schools (&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: normal;"&gt;Beechwood Primary, &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;High Street Primary, &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Holy Cross RC Primary, &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Lipson Community College, &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Oakwood Primary, &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Riverside Primary School + Barne Barton Residents Art Group, &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Victoria Road Primary),&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt; as well as Emerge Circus Group and UCP Marjon International Students. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 13.6pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 13.6pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;To compliment this event there had been banner and costume workshops led by Stiltskin and funded by Devon And Somerset Fire Service and&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;Affinity Sutton Housing. The theme of the parade this year was Fire and Heat.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 13.6pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:city st="on"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;This year's Respect Festival was full of colour, energy, culture and music. A great atmosphere and a great experience for everyone to enjoy. The free family event included live music performances from Pearl of Africa Children's Choir, which was uplifting and beautiful to watch, plus stalls, performances, workshops, info stands, world food, coffee shop, activities for children and much, much more.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 13.6pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;The Plymouth Respect Festival is an important event in the city’s calendar for highlighting diversity and celebrating differences. Respect Festival is to take a well earned year out in 2010&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Georgia;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"&gt;&lt;span style=" line-height:120%;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:12.0pt;"&gt;After 12 years of running &lt;st1:city st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Plymouth&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt;’s largest, most vibrant, most celebrated, free community event in the heart of the city, it has been decided that it’s now time to move Respect to the next level. This is a free Zumba session for any age or ability.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Fatima's Tent&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;Fatima’s Tent will be at the festival to highlight this unique project, which is used to promote a positive attitude to diversity, in particular around Islamic and Middle Eastern cultures, within Plymouth communities and schools. We will be doing a silk painting workshop all day on &lt;b&gt;Sunday the 30&lt;sup&gt;th &lt;/sup&gt;of October&lt;/b&gt; in the marquee, making cushions for the tent. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;The workshops are fun and informative and are designed to tie in with key elements of the national curriculum and the individual communities we visit.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;“&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;Fatima’s Tent was a magical experience as was the food tasting, storytelling and arts and crafts, which culminated in a wonderful and memorable day.
